Lou Hamilton was commissioned to direct “Pratham- the first step” which is a short film about the work of UNICEF’s charity Pratham. It aims to have every child in India reading and writing in the next two years.

The film was shot in India; in the streets, in a city dump and in a boy’s orphanage. It was shown at a large charity gala in London and helped to gross £2.3 million.
