BONE MEMORY

Lou Hamilton was commissioned to create a permanent artwork for the new Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre in Chippenham. It looks at the history and memories buried in the land, the scars etched into the surface of the land and the life that is sustained on the land.

She uses her own photographs, source materials such as aerial views, maps, found objects, photos etc and works with photomontage techniques to create a series of images that come together as a whole on a wall-hung glass tryptich.
